Aga Khan's Mausoleum, Aswan

Our dinner last night in the 1902 French restaurant in the hotel exceeded our expectations. As we feared, we were the only people in the whole restaurant and so we really did get personal service! We needn't have worried about lack of atmosphere though as our waiter had enough character to nicely fill the place and made us feel very welcome.

With a lunchtime departure from the hotel today, we didn't venture further than downstairs for breakfast on the terrace, a laze by the pool and a swim.

With more things to see in Aswan and the area, a return visit might well be on the cards. We'd love to come back to this hotel again and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone planning a visit.
