Female Cowbird
I do not like these birds! This is a female Brown-headed Cowbird. According to allaboutbirds.org, "the females forgo building nests and instead put all their energy into producing eggs, sometimes more than three dozen a summer. These they lay in the nests of other birds, abandoning their young to foster parents, usually at the expense of at least some of the host’s own chicks." The freeloaders! Hanging around our feeders and causing trouble!
I was able to get out and finish planting flowers after work. I had to layer on the bug spray and lotion because the mosquitos are out in force. I tried to take some flower pictures but couldn't hold still! More trouble-makers in the yard!
