DISASTER !!!!! RAIN

Rain Rain followed by rain !
I know lots of people have suffered with the rain this year
the farmers with their crops, people have had their homes ruined, my heart feels for them.
But my climbing roses were doing ok upto an hour ago.
TIMBER!!!
down they come the flowers are so bid and full up with the rain they bent the main stem that is about 2 inches round right over.
Tony and I have pulled them in with a washing line and they are up ish!
when they have dried out I will have to tie them back to the trellis each branch'
it has broken all the ties put on at the end of the year 2013.
there will be a lot of petals on the ground wednesday.
We were both soaked to the skin and cold torn to bits by the thorns. so I have had a bath to warm up with a gin and tonic happy evening blippers :-) xx
