Train station
I think it might be many years since a train came into this station, but it was interesting to see that the village had preserved a tiny bit of the platform.
We visited some of the cemeteries on the Chemin des Dames today. A German one at Forte de Malmaison had 11000 graves from WW2 soldiers killed in the region. The British one at Vailly had 673 from WW1 which is the period that we are most interested in as it was here that my father was taken prisoner.
"Soldiers graves are the greatest preachers of peace" Albert Schweitzer. Poor wifi. Hope to catch up soon. Please excuse lack of comments.
