Day three in the tent

Woke to rain, persistent, miserable rain. Checked but the two closest swimming pools were shut for the bank holiday. So we headed to St. Neots. A coffee shop was found and an hour or so passed. Using their WiFi I found a soft play that I thought would be heaving but wasn't.

Another couple of hours passed and three large and reasonably priced meals consumed we headed back to the tent to go out on the bikes while it was dry. Will decided he would ride rather than cycle, so we went by road this time bypassing what would have been very soggy long grass!

Having told W off earlier in the day for mithering me while I was getting ready and hence leaving the waterproof bottoms behind, this time his constant prattle resulted in me leaving the rucsac outside the tent. Fine apart from it had the waterproofs, money and tools in it. So I prayed we didn't get a puncture. We didn't, just a mudguard that fell off and a bike seat foot guard that intermittently binded on the back wheel. But we survived unscathed and dry.

It is raining again now, I am resigned to taking down a wet tent and therefore having to put it up again when we get home. Boo for tge English bank holiday weather.
