Condat sur Vezere

This is a lovely place. Even in today's rain I couldn't resist this shot of the mill where the stream flows into the Vezere. The village dates back to, probably the 10th century and beyond and was a Templar town at the time of the crusades. We didn't go far today apart from a visit to the supermarche at Terrasson to get some supplies. I also had an appointment with the local doctor to get a prescription for some medicine of which I for some reason or another didn't bring enough of. It's always good to find out a little bit about how life works in the countries you're visiting. On a previous visit to France I spent a few days in a hospital at St Nazaire with a kidney stone. I'd prefer not to repeat that bit of research! Anyway, I'm sorted now but that little error cost me best part of 100 euros.

We took a look at the nearby Chateau Fleunie which will be a good place for a meal in lovely surroundings. I won't put that pic up because I'm sure it will look much better on another occasion, without the rain. The forecast doesn't look brilliant for the rest of the week but I think today is probably the worst of it.

I hope you've had been able to make good use of the Bank Holiday.
