The Speckled Wood

Well up and out early again, but no photographs until the afternoon.

After shopping in the dreaded but customary DIY shops. Well it wouldn't be bank holiday without it would it!!! We took the girls and the dogs down to the beach at Theddlethorpe. It was beautiful if somewhat windy and chilly. I wondered off and found the footpath through this part of the nature reserve. Didn't see too much, but did spot a number of green hairstreaks all flying together, and this beautiful Speckled Wood butterfly.

I have blipped early as I need to show willing, the girls are now washing the cars, and Phil is putting fire alarms in every room in the house. Notyhing like be cautious is there. I'm about to "Annie Sloan" my large coffe table and TV stand in readiness for the delivery of my new sofa.
