Nautical Nonsense

Woke up at 6 this morning and took a shower. I packed a bag then left with Lauren to pick up Rody (Roddy? I have to get this down).

We went to my dad's house where we left on a van to go to my dad's friend's friend's yacht.

The contents of the van included Lauren, her boyfriend Rody, her friend Taylor Corwin, Taylor's boyfriend Eric (Erik?), Dad, his girlfriend Taylor Cucci, her son Luca (pictured above), her friend Amanda, Dad's cousin Jordan, Mom's cousin's ex-husband and Dad's friend Joe Cole (also pictured), his daughters Amanda and Christina Cole, his girlfriend Jen (Jenn?), and the driver Hector. I slept the whole van ride.

When we got there we met up with Captain Mike who soon got the boat going. We weren't allowed on the bough while the boat was moving so I was inside for a bit.

I always get boat sick so I took a Dramamine. I also took a 2 hour nap which may or may not have been a result of the Dramamine. Rody, Eric, and Lauren also took long naps, but Taylor Corwin couldn't fall asleep (she was the only one who didn't take Dramamine).

When I awoke I went out to watch the Jones Beach Airshow. At one point a plane flew right next to our boat from behind; it was like 1.5 bus lengths away (I have poor spacial intelligence).

Rody and Eric jumped into the water and it was apparently very cold.

Other than that it was kind of average. You can only see so many planes before growing underwhelmed.

I slept the whole way back on the boat. Overall I got around 3 hours of naps. I love sleep.

Back at my dad's house I played water games with Luca and Amanda and Christina Cole. I had the hose. Lauren and her friends left already.

Then all of a sudden while talking to my dad on the porch I heard a loud bang and glass shatter accompanied by 2 colliding cars. So that was entertainment for awhile.

Then Joe, Amanda, and Christina Cole, Jen, and I walked to get smoothies.

When we came back we went to the Greek fair next door. They had lamb, donkeys, horses, and rabbits that we pet and fed.

Luca was overtired and kinda had a meltdown so Taylor had to take him back to the house.

I rode on the mechanical bull and got the best time out of anyone.

Then we went back to my dad's house and Joe and his crew had to leave. My dad ordered a lot of food from Applebee's. Then I took a shower and my dad drove me home to Mom's.

I watched an episode of Orphan Black and now I'm going to bed.

Going to sleep.
