Proud

Simon has worked his socks off this weekend and now the other half of the kitchen is finished. Yes the walls need tiling and that horrible wallpaper needs to come off but I couldn't be happier. I have a proper, beautifully fitted kitchen with cupboards that aren't just gaping holes with doors on the front and a cooker which is now level. I am really proud of what we have managed to squeeze in to this rather small space and am confident it will now hold at least twice as much as it did before and far more efficiently.

One bonus was discovering the double width storage drawer at the base of the range cooker - I don't think the previous owners knew about it either, it doesn't look as though it has ever been used.

We've just had a huge roast dinner and now everyone is nodding off in front of the TV. Time for bed I think.

And a lie-in tomorrow...
