Backblip

A productive day!

Marion and Alan were doing their own thing so D and I headed out to have lunch in a new deli/café that’s recently opened in the town. D had heard a not exactly glowing reference of the place so we weren’t sure what to expect but thought we’d give it a go.

I am so glad we did! The food, atmosphere, service and price were all fantastic!

D had spaghetti carbonara with smoked samon instead of pancetta and was in seventh heaven. I chose a grazing platter and this is what I got. It was absolutely delish. I’m meeting my friend Alison for lunch on Thursday so I think I know where we’ll be going.

Headed to Dobbies afterwards and at last we have agreed on the type of seating for the Gin Palace. Dobbies have exactly what we’re looking for but we’ll do our best to source similar more cheaply elsewhere.

Back home via M&S and a couple of dine in for two dinners, as Ele and Kenny were coming up. Effortless and tasty (and fairly healthy!)

A great night with them that saw us finally getting to bed at 3am!! Not bad for a bunch of old fogeys!
