Well, what can I say about today other than it's been fantastic! :))

Alan had his second follow up appointment with the Gastro Doc following the horrendous flare up of his ulcerative colitis earlier in the year and were delighted to be told that he is officially in remission from flare up! Oh how we have longed to hear that. He's gained all of the weight back that he lost and his tummy is lovely and soft again. Next appointment is for 6 months time. Woo hoo :))))

They took bloods again just to keep check. Alan was impressed as ever with that procedure but was all smiles and very charming when the nurse offered him a sticker. That was a prize worth having.

Dropped Alan back at school then David dropped me off at Jam Jar in Bridge of Allan (if you're in the vicinity I would definitley recommend it) at 1pm where I was meeting my friend A, who I haven't seen in aaaaaaaaages. I was so looking forward to seeing her.

Had a fantastic lunch, wait for it, sitting OUTSIDE then spent the rest of the afternoon chatting and drinking coffee, and more chatting and more coffee and so on until 7pm!!! All that time, sitting outside IN THE SUN! We had a brief visit to a couple of shops as I had a birthday pressie to buy for another friend, then back to Jam Jar for a final coffee for A and a peppermint tea for me. What a fabulous afternoon!

David picked me up and we're home now, the wine is chilled and we're just about to have dinner.

A very lovely day indeed.
