Shine a light

We arrive a little early this morning so we popped down to Tollesbury and caught glimpse of this beauty. Earlier this year I led a day's teaching here for the staff & trustees looking at how to engage with children. They were and are doing a brilliant job, they didn't need teaching, just encouraging. The charitable trust owns the lightship decked out with accommodation, great meeting room, speedboats & sailing boats and on-shore there's an all-weather base with climbing wall & high ropes. Superb facilities and superb people.

And then off to meet with St Nicholas, Tolleshunt D'arcy, who started their service with these words ....
God made us a family
We need each other
We love one another
We forgive one another
We work together
We play together
We worship together
This small gathered community were one of the warmest, friendliest groups I've met over the past 6 years of travelling around. What a delightful family. They really do live what they say.
