Pineapples anyone?
These twin towers, which resemble stretched pineapples, are a landmark in Abu Dhabi and are used by many as a point of reference when driving around the city. This is particularly important here because (a) sat navs don't work properly, (b) driving is crazy, and (c) al roads have 2 or sometimes 3 names. These buildings are located on "Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Road", AKA "New Airport Road" AKA "Highway E10". Even more confusing because street signs are almost non existent.
I tried to get close to them to take some better shots but the road network does not lend itself to pulling over at the side of the rad - at least not without serious risk to life and limb from the city's taxi drivers and their experimental driving style.
