Have a little patience

I've never been a patient person starting when I was born 6 weeks early and continuing throughout my life. And I'm not doing too well at just waiting - am trying to take everyone's advice and enjoy these last few peaceful days / weeks but it's difficult. But on the plus side looks like this baby will have more patience than its mother!

Not a bad day despite the rubbish weather - intermittent rain is just depressing. Volunteered at parkrun again this morning - was a real sense of community following the events of last week. The event director did a lovely pre-run briefing about Nikki including some words from her husband. And over 200 runners joined today - meant we had some very busy periods handing out finish tokens but we did it.

Then headed over to see the house the fella is doing up - I last went before Christmas and was worried quite how much needed doing before it could be sold. But he's worked like a Trojan since most weekends and his dad has been amazing and been over nearly every day. And they're nearly there - fingers crossed it's another few days of work they can do before various tradesmen finish it off. I know it will be a huge weight off his shoulders when it's ready for sale.

Other than that, tried to chill out as finding sleeping in long periods harder so had a couple of hours snooze this afternoon. Getting quite a few braxton hicks today - how do you know when they become real ones?
