Babysitting duties

After a busy morning getting the house cleaned, (this does not happen often) we left for babysitting duties. We were to take Ella out while her dad was working and mum was getting ready for an evening with friends at the theatre. It was pouring yet again so plans for the beach were abandoned. Ella had a nap till 3 and as the Hancock museum shuts at 4 our Plan B was also abandoned. Fortunately Plan C was a great success. We took her food shopping in a giant supermarket, not at all my favourite place. Finding the items on the list kept her busy for ages, and the big space between the aisles was great for running about in - not too busy for her to be a pest to anyone. She helped get the food onto the check-out, and gave money to the Lifeboat collection to get a sticker. We got her a meal in the cafe - she loves cafes.

The blip above is of Granddad just finishing feeding Nathaniel his evening "expresso" which his mum had left for him. Ella had already "read" to me The Very Hungry Caterpillar and was feast asleep in her cot. Hopefully baby brubba will be settled in his soon!
