Comfort food, comforting thoughts...
Well, the snow continued into the afternoon today. We stayed inside for the entire day. Jeremy shoveled and did the grocery shopping and the girls and I hunkered down and played games, did crafts and watched LOTS of Barbie!
Tomorrow Jeremy embarks on a new journey...he starts his new job. He was the by-product of many layoffs last year and has been out of work since February. After being at the company for 12 years it was a surprise, but not so much given the economy. I am so excited for him and proud of him. The last year he has been at home with the girls. And as trying as it has been for him, I know deep down he is going to miss it and will never forget the time with his "sweet little monkeys".
Life changes a bit for us tomorrow. I have had it pretty easy the last year not having to drop off or pick up at daycare, no laundry, no cooking. It has been wonderful and I want to thank my incredible husband for taking care of us this past year. Tomorrow I begin my drop off duty, and I am a little anxious about how I will get us out of the house! Ok, so I did do it for 5 years, but even after a week off it makes for a hectic morning, nevermind a year!
Tonight in honor of Jeremy's new job I made my homemade meatballs and sauce. It was a perfect end to a perfect week, weekend, and day...and a great way to kick off our new beginning.
Good luck tomorrow, Francis!
