A-sledding we will go

It has been snowing since very early this morning, even before we woke up. And it is still snowing out at 5:00 pm. It's a nice steady snow - the kind that allows you to get caught up with the shoveling and let's you leave the house.

We ventured out this afternoon to give sledding a try. It was the first time for the girls, aside from being pulled around in the yard. They loved it! And it was great to get some fresh air. We made our way up the small hill jumping out of the way of the other sledders and then tried to avoid them on our way down. As a person of organization (you could say Type-A), I found it hard to understand why people weren't walking up the edges of the hill and sledding down the middle. It seemed to make enough sense to me!! But I refrained from making the suggestion (-;

This is my oldest, Abigail Kate. She is five and very grown up. She had a fun time and did not want to leave. Hot cocoa at home was enticing enough to get her in the car!
