Blossom

Playing in the blossom on the way home from preschool.

Katie and her key worker made a deal yesterday. If Katie could do two mornings of being calm at drop off time, she would do a treasure hunt just for her on Wednesday. Today was the first day of the two. It didn't work. She had fun the rest of the morning still.

Before nursery, we had started work on the craziness that her playroom had become and we finished it afterwards. I left her with one final part of it so she could show me it all finished. She was so proud of herself to reveal it.

She had a play in the garden before spending she's playing on reading eggs. We have been introduced to it by friends and she absolutely loves it! We spent over an hour at it today.

When granny and grandad arrived, she reeled off a list of things she wanted to show them- her giant bucket of water in the garden, her running shoes, reading eggs and the book she can read with elvis in it. She started with the bucket of water and then requested tea be eaten in the garden, first time this year before she worked through the whole list. "I'm too tired to read my book tonight, mama" she told me. I couldn't help but laugh after all the reading she had done today! Her eyes were drooping as I finished reading her story to her, bless her.
