It arrived
No not the baby but the mamas and papas furniture - hoorah! Has meant me and the fella have spent 4 hours tonight building the wardrobe and changing unit - I've had to come and sit down but he's still going finishing off the drawers for the changing unit. We make a good team doing flat pack - I was on instructions and minor jobs and he was the main builder - and only got frustrated once! Then it's just the cot to go. The upholsterer also dropped back the chair I've had reupholstered for the nursery so we're nearly there. Which is probably a good job as I've been having quite a few braxton hicks today (now I've said that the baby is going to be 3 weeks yet!!)
Some sad and thought provoking news tonight - the lady who collapsed at parkrun on Saturday didn't pull through and died on Sunday afternoon. She's been on my mind since Saturday and is so sad to hear of her death - I just can't comprehend how one moment someone can be running in the beautiful sunshine and the next nothing. I definitely need to stop sweating the small stuff and make the most of every moment.
