Southern Lake District

After doing the usual Sunday morning sort out of the in-laws we sped up the M6 to Arnside on the Kent estuary for a wintery walk. Temperature I guess was below freezing all day but there was no breeze so in the sun it was pleasantly warm so long as you kept moving. We finished on Arnside Knott over looking the Kent Estuary, the railway viaduct and the snowy Lake District Mountains in the distance. With a bit of luck and if the weather holds I should be on the hills somewhere next weekend. But I have learnt never to plan on my plans.
