While lying in bed, wide awake, at 3.30 this morning I was making decisions. Get up at 4 o clock and go to Grasmere  heron spotting or walk up Helvellyn? Never had to make the choice because I fell asleep.

I've put the bedding plants I bought at Morecambe market into tubs and checked my seeds. One tray of lettuces has germinated plus 2 of 16 sunflower seeds. No courgettes yet.

Today's blip is an Aquilegia in my garden - thought I'd get a bit more practice in flower photography. A lot more is needed :)
