Our four-day trip to the south of France has ended.
The Maeght Foundation in St Paul de Vence and Matisse's Chapel in Vence conspired to make one breathtakingly artastic Saturday and for me and my husband.
Ok, he soldiered manfully on... I think he'd rather have been up a nearby Alp. But I loved that he was with me.
St Paul de Vence is a very pretty cliff top medieval town protected by ramparts. Which is where I snapped this sculpture looming over the view below down to the city port of Nice.
There are sculptures around every corner in Vence and St Paul de Vence. You even see them in the middle of roundabouts.
