Messing About On The .....

..... Bridgwater & Taunton Canal. We took a stroll along the footpath here near Lower Maunsel Lock at lunchtime while this couple, along with a large number of cyclists, chose a slightly more energetic way of navigating their way. The chap in the boat was actually trying to manoeuvre the canoe side on so he could get a photo of the bridge.

Reminded me of this old song, which I was never a fan of and now I've got it as an ear worm. This really naff version of it is so awful it made me laugh. Poor Dusty will be turning in her grave.

We had a spot of lunch in the tearoom by the lock and watched intrepid groups of walkers pass by on their way to completing the full 14.5 miles of the canal to raise money for a local hospice.

Time to get the barbie lit before long; hope you've all enjoyed your weekends.
