Lakeside at Taylor Dam
Another lovely day in paradise. Once again I drove to the Taylor Dam. I am keen to capture the last of the autumn foliage. If you look carefully you will see that the vegetation in the distance in the right-hand side of this image has dull grey tones in it until halfway up the branches. It is willow growing on a small island inhabited by black swans. Those dull grey tones show the height of the flood waters in the dam during the storms we had in April. It was very dramatic at the time. My thoughts were with the birdlife that live in and around the lake during that flood event. Where did they go to for safety? I will never know but all seems to be back to normality these days….until the next flood……
