Strange day

Not the best photo but trust me you wouldn't want to see this in focus or any closer - this is the fella's finger than he managed to saw the top off today! It makes me feel queasy every time I catch a glance by mistake (he currently has it uncovered to get some air to it but trust me plasters are going back on soon). The dark bit in the pic is where the top is missing! He did it first thing this morning doing some DIY with his dad but didn't own up until he got home tonight. I hope it heals well though there's so much skin missing I'm not sure how it will!

Added to an already strange day. Volunteered at local parkrun today - glorious sunshine, good running chat and even saw a friend from school I haven't seen for over 15 years. But then we heard that a woman had collapsed whilst running - it sounded bad but luckily there was a doctor running as I understand she needed CPR. And ambulance and air ambulance came very quickly but no news yet - I hope and pray she's ok. You never think that going for a run in the sun would lead to something like that. But despite everyone being shaken there was still a supportive and community atmosphere.
