Getting ready

Think my nesting instinct may be kicking in as had a busy day and got loads sorted. My wash basket is now empty - thank you nice weather for drying clothes super quick - the stair carpet is back with the right colour edging (had it done before Christmas and they used a maroon colour rather than purple on the runner edges which annoyed me so finally got it sorted), upholsterers picked up chair to get covered to match nursery, read another chapter of my pain management book and my mum and dad kindly came round to help me get things done and to drop off the finished Moses basket.

Dad went straight in the garden and did all sorts if gardeny stuff - he seemed very happy planting things and sorting the grass - whilst mum and I batch cooked things for the freezer. O yes I even fitted in a food shop this morning before they came. Pic is of half our efforts - bolognaise sauce and bean soup - which mum cleverly froze in bags inside square Tupperware so when the Tupperware was removed they stack brilliantly and don't take up much room. We also made Goan chicken curry and a bean stew. So we won't starve when we're too tired to cook / shop.

Fella headed home early which was a nice surprise and even better from next Friday he gets summer hours so Friday afternoon's off until end august. Had our usual cake and coffee jaunt before a chilled out evening.

M&P update - a very nice lady called Louise called and the furniture is coming on Tuesday. She's given me her direct number in case of any more issues and said she'll be in touch in Wednesday to check all came ok. And the £50 gift voucher arrived. So fingers crossed all will be sorted soon.

Phew busy day - chilled one tomorrow for sure.
