As free as a bird.

A young girl found this little blackbird in the clutches of apparently five cats and popped in to my daughters shop whilst running for the vets (most vets around here don't care for wild birds :(...anyway she rang me...I used to volunteer at a wild bird hospital...so here she is fed and watered a bit battered, bloody and bruised but starting to call for mum...so tomorrow hopefully we can find exactly where the girl found her, because the parents are no doubt worried sick. (birds look after their own as would we...they will feed on the ground if need be and they're not bothered if you've handled them.)..always take them back where you find them if possible.
