Packing up the Teddies
Day off today and I woke up at 5am worrying about what to do about Trafford/Harrods. I had a cup of tea and watched an episode of Grimm before Luke was up and had to find out some info for Paul about bonus payment.
Luke and I talked about moves and what we thought would be best, we had a pro and con list and then I spoke to Terri about it all. She was so excited by the idea and said I would be crazy not to go for it, it was nice to hear her enthusiasm over the phone. I also messaged Stuart who gave me a few factors to consider and ultimately believes I should stick with my original move to Trafford. In the end I called the store and spoke to Emma. She asked if I had been thinking and was I interested to which the answer was yes. She said she would call Carl and get some ideas moving around so I have a better idea of what the salary would be and dates of moving etc to make a decision. She said she will call tomorrow.
After that we had a little walk around in the sunshine, it was lovely and warm, we walked close to where the canal is but more along the streets and round the pretty houses, some of the areas reminded me of South Kensington they were so well maintained and quiet. On the way back we bought ingredients for bacon sandwiches for breakfast and ate them in the sunny conservatory area with plenty of ketchup and cups of tea. Whilst we ate we watched episodes of WWYD from abc with all different social scenarios to see what members of the public would do, most of these made us cry to see how generous and kind they can be.
In the afternoon we began to do some more packing up of our things. I cleared put my whole wardrobe and it is all packed and we also tackled my soft toys. I was brave and firm and kept about half of my toys and decided to donate the other half. I did have the Toy Story dilemma of should I give them away, will the toys feel like they were never loved etc, but I reasoned that someone will be able to give them a nice new home instead of them gathering dust on top of my wardrobe. I made sure to give them all a very big cuddle before packing them away.
In the evening Ali called me after she had spent the day in London with Terri, she told me all about her trip to Marrakech and I told her all about Harrods. She also said I should go for it and said she would bring back some info about London and houses etc. Later on we had some dinner and watched X Men 2 after seeing the first one on tv the other night and then it was time for bed, especially after being up so early.
Today I am grateful for the support of Luke and my friends and the words of encouragement to give me support to make a decision.
