Back on track

Back on track and back to posting after having been sick for several weeks. I missed hip replacement surgery because of a kidney infection and have been sick and miserable for several weeks. I have been taking pictures, but not taking them off the camera or posting them for awhile now. I am on strong antibiotics to heal what has turned from a kidney infection to an infection/abscess in a mastoid bone behind my right ear. It may have been there since I was a little kid causing problems intermittently for many years. If the hip replacement surgery had gone ahead it probably would have failed due to the abscess's ability to seed new infections. It has certainly seeded sinus/ear/throat infections for years.

Today, I am grateful that the headache the infection caused is finally subsiding, that the doc found the source of all this and that the surgery was headed off before it could fail.
