Only In Glasgow

In Glasgow today , what a wonderful city and today it was full of music and song. I have never heard so many talented buskers in the city. lots of young people performing all around the city and everone one of them so talented. All them happy to be photographed and so polite when I asked them.

I was planning to upload one of the busker images but this character on the horse , sitting outside the City Chambers , had ridden from the Gallery of Modern Art then round George Square deserves a viewing tonight.

Not sure what it was all about but I think there might be a link to this cheeky ride around that area and the City Council's decision to raise the statue outside the Gallery on to a much higher plinth to prevent the Glaswegians who had a lot of fun placing traffic cones on top of it. There was a massive on- line petition to leave the statue as it was and the council left it where it was.

perhaps we will see in the papers tomorrow , or it may even be some sort of promotion for the Commonwealth games- watch this space as they say.
