Here is my newly patented sock drying process!
Like all great processes it requires discipline to ensure consistency of fantastic deliverables.
Firstly, from the mass of writhing serpents which a sock dominated wash load often appears, carefully extricate and match the pairs of socks according to colour and texture. Please note that in some cultures black/navy crossovers are permissible.
Secondly, hang the respective pairs by the TOE on the washing line.
Thirdly, allow to dry. The drying time will depend on altitude, latitude and longitude along with cloud cover, sun intensity and wind. In some countries, it is not advisable to base drying times on the combination of elements present the previous day, rather assess each drying time anew.
Fourthly, and this is where the patent repays all investment, BEFORE taking the socks off the line unite their open ends (or necks), as shown. This guarantees an inseparable bond which will see the pair travel from the drying line through the sorting and ironing stations to the drawer without risk of separation.
Fifthly, insert your hand in the sock drawer no matter the time of day or lighting conditions and be guaranteed that a matching pair will instantly fall to hand and foot.
Licences available on application. And don't forget you saw it here first!
