Local elections

in the last week, my office has been visited by people i have never met before in my life

they come with their pamphlets and cards, and as they hand me their papercraft, they glance sideways on my desk eyeing the other papercraft lying in a heap clearly destined for the recycling bin

and just before they leave, they say 'you won't forget me, will you?' - i dont know if they believe me when i say i won't, but the truth is that i didnt even catch their names

the first round of voting takes place this Sunday (the second round where needed will coincide with the European elections next weekend)
