I planned to take today off to attend our daughter's school sports day. Unfortunately it got cancelled because of excessive water on the grass from yesterday's thunderstorms. So my wife and I took our little boy to a diner-like establishment for brunch, where this shot was taken. I thought it looked a bit like Philip Marlowe checking out the dame about to come into his office.

Then I had to endure a 5 minute lecture from the sales-droid at PC-World on their fabulous after-sales support. She seemed rather insistent that it's a great idea to nearly double the price of the laptop I was buying for my mother in law in order to be totally free from IT-woes for the next three years. I think I was still too ill with the cold to put up too much of a fight and so just let her do her party-piece before declining her tempting offer. Afterall, these days what can possibly go wRoOoOoNG WiTH a compuuuuuuuter?!?
