Two become One

I pinched this idea from Chrissy who took a very similar shot the other day, and I liked the idea of West Pier framed by Palace Pier. So I got off the bus before my stop so I could try and replicate Chrissy's photo. I don't think it's as good but I like it - it kind of looks like it's balancing on 'Brighton Pier'

We've now got a mini heat wave and it got to 22 degrees this afternoon. I met the girls again at lunch time and we sat out in the sun and had a glass (or two) of wine before I had to head back to work. But it was an 'ok' afternoon. Then Alan met me from work and we drove to pick mum up at the station. I'd booked the Opera dinner for mum and I, so Alan took her suitcase and dropped us off in town. It's been a wonderful night - the food was great and the Opera singers were fantastic - they even sang happy birthday to mum and dedicated a song to her. Her birthday is actually on Saturday when we'll be celebrating again, but this was a special, one night only event and a shame to miss.

Anyway, its late and I need to be up for work in the morning so I'll say goodnight. I promise to catch up with you as soon as I can!
