Raffles Hotel

Today we received a postcard where the card has a photograph of the group of people who visited the Raffles Hotel on out last visit there in March. The trip was organised by the manager of the Fairmont Hotel, where we stayed, who was previously the manager of the Raffles Hotel.

We have visited Raffles Hotel a few times now for the customary Singapore Sling in the Long Bar - my first visit there was back in 1970. This was an opportunity to learn a bit more of the history of the hotel, the day to day life behind the scenes and a guided tour of some of the rooms.
