Commonwealth Day

We celebrated the Commonwealth today by learning all about it through a variety of fun activities that included learning through numeracy, literacy, art, physical activity, orienteering and other work.

This is in anticipation of the Queen's Baton that is visiting all the primary schools tomorrow.

Ollie met the baton team and baton itself at the harbour this evening and had a police escort to get it swiftly and safely to Beau Sejour Leisure Centre. There the baton had it's first Guernsey function where VIPs & athletes had photos taken with the baton.

Tomorrow, Ol & his colleagues will take Assemblies in schools as the baton is passed on from one school to another by child representatives from each school.

We are very excited and honoured to be having a visit from the baton and it's team.

The blip is a photo of the commonwealth flags bunting in our playground, ready for the royal visit:-)
