Earthquake repairs

A grey and miserable morning, and this will be my last blip from here for a while. I am looking forward to escaping the continual disruption to normal life that the major repairs to our city entail. I am also hoping to see some real change by the time we get back.

This piece of work should be finished by then. The road has been closed for a long time now, and you can see from the inset picture why. The exposed rock wall, which cracked and released a substantial amount of rock, has been rock bolted to secure it, and a concrete wall is being built along the top.
