Lake Henderson , Louisiana

This is a massive swamp lake in a really heavy downpour. We had come to Whiskey's Landing, a dance floor overhanging the lake for a big local event. Gino's zydeco band was performing from 4 to 8 pm. Sunday afternoon, Mother's Day. The outside area was packed with jeeps and inside a real mix of people two stepped, jived and stomped their boots through a 4 hour set in which the intensity of the music just seemed to grow. Gino and his band performed on a stage with a window behind them looking out to this lake and the never ending torrent of water.
