Slipping Sparrow

I was really enjoying watching the fledgling sparrows today, following the adults and desperately trying to copy what they did!


This little one had been sitting on the trellis being fed for a while, then could wait no longer for the next mouthful. Moving right to the edge he toppled over just as the parent turned to feed it! He just managed to cling to the metal rod whilst receiving the food, I really hope he didn't do any damage to his wing :-/ They're resilient little creatures hopefully :-)
