Unbelievable Underwater Camera

Met the lovely lady in the photograph today, at a craft fair. She was selling her vibrant photos enlarged onto canvases, of the wonderful wildlife she takes underwater! There were fish, anemones, coral etc in the most amazing colours. I asked about editing, whether she enhances using anything like photoshop. She pointed to the brightest and told me she dulled it down as it was too bright to look at!!!

We were asking her which countries she found to have the best diving, not that we scuba dive but we really love to snorkel :-)

She was very happy to tell us about her wonderful camera, it's a Nikon D70 which had the case specially milled from one piece of aluminium! The two strobes were on long angle-poise arms which she explained get moved appropriately according to whether she needed to create a bright image with no shadow or the opposite showing that the subject has depth.

Her name is Jo Clark if you are interested in looking into her work! Of course I mentioned 'blip', I told her why I wanted to take a photo of her amazing (and extremely heavy!) equipment :-)
I hope all you fabulous photographers find this interesting.
