Stalking my prey

The birds round here are either (a) very fussy or (b) very elusive. I put out a nut feeder at the weekend hoping to lure more birds in front of my lens. Little hope; whenever I'm watching there is nothing doing and judging by how few nuts have been eaten, there's little doing even when I'm not watching.

Spoke to Luke at length on Skype yesterday. He had recently commented on Whatsapp about his wedding in January. This was a response to a comment that Rachel made about her wedding plans for December. Of course, we all dismissed his comment as a wind up but it turns out that may not be the case. Whilst he is not fussed about getting married, he does see himself settling down with Cary and (a) she very much wants to get married. It is significant in the Chinese culture and (b) she wants to get married before her next birthday which is in January and presumably, in the year of the horse rather than the year of the sheep. If this happens, it will be very exciting, BUT I can't see many friends and family being able to make the trip to China to attend the wedding. Hopefully they will plan something in this country some time later in the year.
