...Winds, probably too low to generate much electricity. But the rest of the UK, especially the South, is experiencing healthy wind speeds for power generation.

While the so-called "intermittent", "unreliable" wind may not be blowing where you live, it is beyond the bounds of probability that our atmosphere is still everywhere.
