Inchmarnock

Today we went over to Bute and spent a lovely day exploring this island.
We caught the ferry at Colintraive for the short crossing over to Bute.
Stopped at Mount Stuart and had a walk in grounds, the bluebells were looking particularly striking.
We then drove on to Ettrick Bay and had a walk on the beach there where I took this shot.
It shows the island of Inchmarnock with Arran in the background.
At the northern end of this island a Bronze Age cist was uncovered which contained a female skeleton , the Queen of the Inch :-)
