There Were a Few Cast Members Who Lived in a Shoe.

Today was the day of the biggest visit we have ever had in Dublin 967 from District manager Emma, country manager Carl and managing director Graham. It was his first time in our store so we had to make sure it was looking the very best.

After my late night last night I was in Store early at 7am to help out and did some re-merching on Frozen as the new stock came in.

Bizarrely after an hour of stage managing Paul had me on VIP watch in the office on the 2nd floor and I spent almost an hour up in there just looking out the window to catch Emma and Carl just as they came round the corner and I radioed to everyone that they had arrived!

Graham was flying over separately and would not be with us until around 11:30. I had a very brief chat with Carl and Emma before they had a walk round and catch up with Paul until Graham arrived. They spent around an hour or so walking through the store and spent most of the time in the back stage areas discussing the potential of the store such as expansion and layout.
Just after I went on my lunch break they all left and I never even got to speak to Graham!
The highlight of the working day was Paul's offer of cheesecake after they all went, it was well deserved for all of us!

After work Ciara, Eric, Ali and I all went to get some dinner, but not before Ali took our photo in a giant shoe hung up in Vans! We then went to Wagamama's and ate delicious noodles and drank Rekorderlig cider to celebrate a good visit. We had a great time reminiscing about old cast members and events that have happened in the store since we opened, it will be a very different place soon as half of the management team will be gone and replaced. Sad times.

After we had eaten we all headed home, Ciara came home with me to stay the night for sleepover fun and it wasn't long before we were in our PJs and ready for bed.

Today I am grateful for happy times all together with my fellow managers, I am grateful for their company today and for our combined efforts for the visit.
