I was asked to cover an awards ceremony event for my daughter's Chinese language school today. It turned out to be an all day event and left me staring at over 900 pictures to edit down to something more reasonable. Photographically I think it went well as it's not the first time I've done such assignments. What was a fresh challenge was my attempt at crowd control in asking all these eager parents to back off and let me take the group shots first before they all swoop in. It's perfectly understandable behaviour as they must be very proud of their kids, but I really prefer not to have the back of their heads in my picture! I'm sure they were still snapping away behind my back so I'm not expecting everyone to be looking at my camera.

This is one of the students from my daughter's school, doing some revising before her recital in front of the audience. I just liked the way she was surrounded by all these seats.
