Ferd the ....

Baby Coot slayer :(

Well actually I don't know of he killed any. I took a different route and when we looped around to the canal it wasn't a bit I was really familiar with and by the time I'd spotted the nesting coots so had Ferd. It was a drop into the canal as well so was really surprised he just leapt in. I don't know if he bit a baby coot or if he just picked one up. Either easy he was very very naughty and wouldn't come back and chased mummy and daddy coot up the canal, before he eventually listened to my very angry voice, and well then he had to continue swimming up the canal as there was no where that he could climb out, we got so far and I couldn't see anywhere suitable at all for a looooooooooooog way. I really thought this was the day I was going to have to go in. Luckily I was able to reach over the side and grab his harness so with a bit of team work we got him out. Needless to say Ferd was not allowed back off the lead.

I shall stick to the other bit of canal where I know he can't get into any trouble for the time being.
