Heron on the Weir

I went for a walk by the River Tyne while my shoes were in the mender.

Espied this Grey Heron standing on the weir. I liked the contrast between the smooth water and the turbulent water as the water sped over the weir.

I think the picture is better in the larger view.



P.S. The shoe mender did not charge me for the repair!
