Dead Bird

Exactly as I said. I found this bird on the beach today. I think it is a Shag in breeding season as identified by the tuft on it's head.

Can anyone confirm what kind of bird it is?

The bird had an ID tag on one of it's legs issued by the Natural History Museum. I sent them a copy and a note of the find in case it is of any use to them.
