Look out - landing gear faulty

Again the ground was frozen and the world looked lovely clean and sparkly

For the last week or so we have been woken by the noise of chirping coming from a bush in our garden. The local birds don't normally settle there as it is too close to the neighbour's cat's local jaunt over our shed. The birds have obviously sussed the creature is getting old and can't straddle a fence anymore because they are having a party which starts at dawn and finishes around 11pm!

The chirping has got louder over the past few days, so today I threw some seeds and nuts onto the grass to see how many I could entice out to see how many have decided their new des res is with Trabroun, 30 of them, sparrows, black caps and finches. I thought some of them would have flown to warmer climates but nup, des res with us.
That's a lot of chirping - glad we like the local wildlife
