Making it worth getting up early

Today started at 5.45am for a dawn trip into the Everglades. This barred owl was sitting in a tree next to the path at the Anhinga Trail looking for his breakfast. The sounds of the fish jumping, birds singing and the bellowing of the alligators made this a memorable morning.
Later on we drove to Miami Beach to see the Art Deco buildings which were quite impressive.
When we went back this evening for a final visit the owl was back in the same tree!
